CBS Kilkenny DEVELOPMENT:

A  NEW CHAPTER IN OUR 160 YEAR HISTORY...

Picture

On the Move...

Located in its city centre site CBS Kilkenny Secondary School has been feeding in to the heart of Kilkenny life for more than one and half centuries. With its emphasis on PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT the school caters for the needs of more than 700 students. As demand for places continues to outstrip our capacity, school management has taken the bold decision to RELOCATE the school to a new site; ensuring that our TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE can continue to thrive in brand new, state of the art facilities.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT...

TO FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN HELP,
PLEASE WATCH OUR SHORT VIDEO...
Whether it be ACADEMICALLY, through SPORT, the ARTS or the achievement of PERSONAL GOALS all CBS Kilkenny students are encouraged to fulfil their potential...

Our Goal...

The toughest challenges have already been overcome; CBS Kilkenny has secured its place on the current SCHOOL BUILDING LIST held by the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION & SKILLS and, with the support of ERST (Edmund Rice Schools Trust), we have secured a new site for the school on the Dunningstown Rd.

OUR GOAL is to ensure that this new build presents our students with the world class educational environment they deserve. The Department of Education will cover the cost of the basic building and equipment, but we want to make sure our sporting, classroom and extra curricular facilities deliver on the promise of a first class 21st century education.

We are aiming to raise at least €1,000,000 to fund additional possibilities such as an astro-turf pitch/ enhanced computer and science labs/ performance and social spaces. We need an environment in which we can continue to grow and thrive.

This is why we need to reach out to PARENTS, FORMER STUDENTS and our WIDER COMMUNITY to help us meet these costs. An investment in the rebuilding of the CBS Secondary School is an investment in Kilkenny's future, its community and beyond!
